For its second year, the Libertyville Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project. During the month of October, Libertyville Police Officers and Community Service Officers will have the option to wear a pink commemorative patch in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Residents and supporters are invited to buy their own pink patches for a minimum donation of $10.00 between 7 am and 9 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Libertyville Police Department, 200 E. Cook Ave. All proceeds will be donated to the local non-profit Michael Matters Foundation.
The Michael Matters Foundation exists to help brain tumor patients and their families manage incidental costs while they are focused on their treatment. Their support helps with costs like gas, mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, medications, and travel expenses. Their goal is to allow families to better focus on their care by easing their financial pressures. For more information about the Michael Matters Foundation, click here.
Thank you for your support!
