Village of Libertyville

CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY

2018 Pavement Patching

Areas of Work: Ashbury Woods Subdivision, Camelot Lane, and Commerce Drive

Date:   October 26, 2018

The Village has contracted with Peter baker & Son of Lake Bluff, IL to perform pavement patching in your neighborhood. Work may involve removal and replacement of sections of asphalt pavement and related improvements. Specific repair locations were prioritized to meet available budget amounts earmarked for this project. Locations were selected and marked based on “worst first” criteria.

We anticipate construction work beginning on or about Saturday, October 27th.

During this work, please use caution while driving or walking in the construction area.

We do not anticipate any curb and gutter replacement on your street; therefore, all driveways should remain accessible with the exception of possible minor delays during the immediate removal or paving work. If an overnight closure of your driveway should become necessary, you would receive a hand-delivered notice to your front door in advance with further information.

If you are temporarily out of your driveway, please note the following:

  • During working hours, please park away from those areas where the contractor is working; this will expedite their operations, and also minimizes the chance for inadvertent damage to vehicles.  After hours, and overnight, you should be able to park closer to home.
  • Please do not park within 50 feet of an intersection corner or a stop sign and at least 25 feet from any fire hydrant.

We understand that the upcoming construction work may create inconvenience for all affected residents. The contractor will do their best to minimize the disruptions. Your patience and cooperation throughout this process is greatly appreciated.

For any questions regarding this project, please call the Engineering Division Office at (847) 918-2100, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

For any problems which may develop after hours, please call the Police non-emergency number (847) 362-8310, and they will contact the proper personnel for follow-up. Thank you again for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
