Users of the Prairie Crossing South Metra Parking Lot & Station Place (Access Rd)
The parking lot project will transition from Phase I to Phase II as of Wednesday, September 6. Starting the morning of September 6, cars should park in the northern section of the lot which is now resurfaced and restriped. Phase II work will proceed over the next two weeks with resurfacing, striping and shoulder work. An exhibit showing the construction limits of each phase is shown on the reverse side of this notice. No parking will be allowed in the construction zone during Phase II. The entrance road to Midlothian will be open to traffic during Phase II; however, please expect and plan for delays while the work is being done on the entrance road.
Watch for Fresh Oil Signs in advance of asphalt paving. The Contractor will be applying a tack coat (oil) to the pavement. Avoid driving through the fresh oil if possible. If you choose to drive through the oil, please reduce speed so it will not splash up on your car. If you do get oil on your car, a “bug and tar” remover liquid will take it off.
