Purchase Vehicle Stickers Online

The Village now offers residents and businesses the ability to purchase annual vehicle stickers online with a credit card. Vehicle sticker renewal applications are normally sent out to prior year purchasers by mid-March. To purchase your renewal sticker online, you will need the vehicle's license plate number and the four or five digit Vehicle ID number shown on the top of the barcode area on the application you receive in the mail. Click here for an illustration of where this information is located on your vehicle sticker renewal application.

Users can also purchase stickers for new vehicles or motorcycles that are not included on a pre-printed renewal application any time during the year. Discounted stickers for seniors or those with a disability purchased for the first time only must come into Village Hall; however, once a discounted sticker is loaded into the database, it will appear on the renewal application in subsequent years, which will allow it to be purchased online. Additionally, $1.00 transfer stickers must still be purchased in-person at the Village Hall.

Finally, the online system will allow a user to remove a vehicle that they no longer own. For this process, the vehicle's license plate and four or five digit Vehicle ID as noted above also will be needed.

Once an order for a vehicle sticker is placed online, Village staff will fulfill the order and you will receive your sticker by mail within five to seven business days. Any questions about the online purchasing process can be directed to vehiclesticker@libertyville.com.
