Vehicle Sticker Purchase Deadline Extended 

In light of the circumstances pertaining to COVID-19, the Village of Libertyville is extending the purchase deadline of annual vehicle stickers from May 1, 2020 to July 1, 2020. Residents do not need to purchase or display the 2020-2021 vehicle sticker until July 1, 2020. Vehicle sticker purchases can be made via mail (recommended) or walk-up to the Police Department Records Division at 200 E Cook Avenue. 

License Information

Village ordinance requires all motor vehicles registered or housed in the Village of Libertyville to display a current Village Vehicle Sticker. Vehicle stickers are valid from May 1 through April 30. The deadline for purchasing a vehicle sticker is April 30. After this date, any vehicle without a current sticker is at risk of receiving a $100.00 ticket from the police department.


New residents and businesses or those who purchase a new vehicle have a 90 day grace period in which to purchase a sticker. Fees during this grace period are based on the discounted fee prior to April 30th that is listed below. Stickers can be obtained in person at the Village Hall, 118 W. Cook Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048, or a completed Vehicle Sticker Application Form can be mailed to the Village Hall address.
