Business Excellence Recognition

The Libertyville Economic Development Commission is recognizing businesses for their local contributions to the community and economy as part of the first annual Business Excellence Recognition program.  Based on nominations received June-July 2023, the Commission identified the following businesses to be honored at the November 16 Business Excellence Breakfast.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
  • IMPROV PLAYHOUSE:  Youth and adult acting classes, team building, entertainment, and theater. Office/Studio-116 W Lake St., Theater-735 N Milwaukee Ave.
  • OUR HOUSE OF HOPE:   Animal rescue, rehabilitation, re-home and food pantry. 1840 Industrial Dr., Suite 330.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
  • RECLAIMED ARTISANS:  Store featuring nearly 100 vendors of home decor, furniture, jewelry, and art, as well as DIY classes. 302 Peterson Rd.
DEVELOPMENT EXCELLENCE
  • HG STUDIOS:  Athletic classes of different types and ability at three locations.  Heather’s Gym-504 First St, RPM Cycle & Bootcamp-1745 Northwind Blvd, Zen Yoga-1753 Northwind Blvd.
  • LA VILLA LOFTS:  Residential apartments and retail spaces in newly rehabilitated historic structure.  Southeast corner of Milwaukee Ave and School St. 
NOTABLE NEW BUSINESS
  • THE MIXTO CUISINE: Family-owned restaurant offering a mix of cuisines for lunch and dinner. 147 N Milwaukee Ave.
ADVANCEMENT
