The Village of Libertyville is committed to environmental sustainability as a means of providing a high quality of life for its residents present and future. To further reiterate that commitment, the Sustain Libertyville Commission was established via ordinance. In 2015, the Village Board of Trustees approved the adoption of a Libertyville Sustainability Plan as recommended by the Sustain Libertyville Commission. The Sustainability Plan was updated in 2018 and is undergoing revisions for 2022.
The Sustain Libertyville Commission is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for residents and visitors interested in green living.
