Church Street Garage Construction
Construction of the new 317-space parking garage is near completion. The garage will open following a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 3pm this Friday, January 20th. All are welcome to attend!
Though there are still items to be completed, it has been the Village's desire to deliver the additional parking in the structure as soon as possible. Please note, per the Village's contractor, Walsh Construction, elevators will be unavailable until approximately March, therefore the stairs will need to be utilized from upper levels. Additional ground floor handicap parking will be made available temporarily.
The suggested access routes are from Church Street and Brainerd Avenue. 4-hour customer parking is available on the ground level and upper levels. Employee parking will be located on the lower level. Note employee hangtags are required and can be purchased from the Police Department. Until elevators are available, employees parking on the lower level will need to exit the garage by walking out the Milwaukee Avenue access.

Customers First: The Village's Customer First parking policy is designed to protect and ensure the success of our downtown businesses. Businesses are asked to please help educate employees where they can park. Employee parking areas are identified in the Parking Guide. Parking in lesser utilized areas is encouraged, including:
- the eastern portion of the Newberry Ave lot,
- the lowest level of the Lake and Church Street Parking Structures (employees only during day, available to customers after 5pm), and
- the downtown Metra lot which becomes available for free to employees/customers after 5pm and on weekends (only paying commuters during day).
If an employer/landlord does not provide private parking for employees, employees of the downtown must park in designated employee parking areas with a employee hangtag displayed. Hangtags can be purchased at the Libertyville Police Department, 200 E Cook Ave (847-362-8310).
Thank You! Your patience during construction has been appreciated. We are grateful for the hard work of all those who have made the new garage a reality.
